Let Go with Grace: The Frequency of Release

November is nature’s reminder that release is part of the rhythm. Just like trees shed their leaves to prepare for a new cycle, our nervous system craves moments of letting go to reset, renew, and realign.

Letting go sounds simple, but our nervous systems are wired to crave familiarity—even if it’s toxic. From a neuroscience perspective, your brain thrives on patterns. Even outdated emotional responses can feel safer than the unknown. Add in ancestral programming or trauma imprints, and suddenly you're clutching fear or control without even realizing it.

The Frequency of Holding On

Science shows us that stress responses are stored in our cells and nervous system. When we suppress emotions, they don't disappear — they lodge themselves in our fascia, gut, and even our gene expression (epigenetics). This energetic residue becomes static, blocking us from receiving intuitive clarity and causing everything from chronic fatigue to emotional reactivity.

Energetically, unprocessed emotions vibrate at lower frequencies, disrupting coherence, or natural harmony, in the body. Practices like sound, breath, and gentle movement help move this stagnant energy, allowing us to re-enter our natural healing rhythm.

What Letting Go Looks Like in Real Life

  • Pausing instead of reacting when your child is dysregulated

  • Saying no to an opportunity that drains you, even if it looks good on paper

  • Releasing perfectionism when your family gathering doesn’t go as planned

  • Crying without judgment when emotions arise

  • Letting go of holiday expectations and choosing what feels aligned

November’s Cosmic Invitation

This month is energetically potent:

  • Scorpio Season invites us to explore what’s hidden, buried, or outdated — and compost it.

  • The New Moon in Scorpio (Nov 1) supports internal reset and deep release.

  • The Full Moon in Gemini (Nov 15) encourages us to let go of old narratives and thought loops.

  • Leonid Meteor Shower (Nov 17–18) brings bursts of clarity and the possibility of cosmic downloads. It’s also Thanksgiving — a time often layered with ancestral energy, family dynamics, and pressure to perform. This is a chance to show up with compassion, not perfection.

Simple Practices to Let Go with Grace

  • Breathwork with sound: Try humming a tone like “shhhh” or “vooo” on your exhale while visualizing what you’re letting go.

  • Write down a belief, habit, or memory to release — then rip or burn it (safely).

  • Move your body intuitively with music and imagine shaking off energy that isn’t yours.

  • Place your hands over your heart and say: “I release what no longer serves. I trust what’s to come.”

    • I say this at the end of each night in addition to calling back all of my energy (any other empaths out there?!)

Journal Prompt: What Am I Ready to Release?

Ask yourself: What belief, habit, or story am I finally ready to release — and what energy do I want to embody instead?

Examples:

  • I release the belief that rest makes me unproductive. I now embody ease and trust.

  • I let go of needing approval from others. I now embody self-assurance and clarity.

  • I release the story that I’m behind. I now embody divine timing and alignment.

This is your season to soften.

To release with reverence.

To remember that when we let go, we lighten our load — not just for ourselves, but for our children, our clients, and everyone we serve.

Let this November be the portal to something deeper.
